Your first signature

eSemnBun is free, open-source software by Nicolae Ghimbovschi. It works with supported Moldovan electronic identity cards and USB smart-card readers.

What you need​

  • An active electronic ID card with a valid signing certificate and its correct PIN.
  • A compatible reader, such as the bit4id miniLector POCKET EVO.
  • A suitable USB-C, Lightning or Android OTG adapter when required. NFC is not supported.
  • The app for your device, available from GitHub Releases or the store links on the homepage when available.

Install and connect​

On macOS, open the DMG and copy eSemnBun to Applications. On Windows, run the MSI. On Android, use Google Play when available or the release APK. On Linux, choose Flatpak, DEB or RPM for your distribution. iPhone and iPad installation is through Apple's distribution channels.

Connect the reader and insert your card. Check that the app shows the expected cardholder. If multiple cards are present, select the intended card before signing.

Continue with signing documents, then read the guide for your platform. Never send your PIN to support or include it in an issue.
